It had been nearly a month since Arthur had started tutoring you. You had your powers well under control, especially for the small amount of time you had had them. You only used them for mundane things, like turning on the T.V., or retrieving something.

You sighed, looking out the window, the soft light catching you (e/c) eyes. You had recently taken to walking through the wooded area behind your house, enjoying the quiet. And that’s just what you did now. You shrugged on your sweater, slipped on a pair of shoes, and walked out the door.

The wind whispered through the trees, and warm sunlight streamed down from the deep blue sky. You walked, the occasional twig snapping underfoot, looking up at the sky, watching the birds hop from tree to tree.

You had been lost in your thoughts, letting your subconscious guide the way, for several minutes, when you heard movement behind you. You spun around, and, spotting Arthur, released the breath you hadn’t realized you’d been holding.

“Hello, love.” Arthur gave you a small smile, approaching slowly.

“Hi, Arthur! How did you know I was out here?”

“I saw you walking when I arrived.” Arthur stood next to you and looked up, trying to glimpse what you had been staring at. A few birds scuttled across an overhead branch.

“How have you been doing since our last… lesson.” Arthur turned to look at you, his green eyes trapping the light.

“Good” you replied with a sigh. A few minutes passed in silence, before Arthur turned to fully face you.

“Love, I’ve had an idea for something we could try…” He seemed unsure as he waited for your response.

“What’s your idea?” You looked at him. He took a breath, and then held his hands up, palms facing the sky. You raised your eyebrow, but complied, and set your hands in his. His fingers wrapped around yours, until you were holding hands tightly.

“Now, think of… wind.” Arthur instructed. You gave him a suspicious look, but let your mind drift to that calm place, the one that was so readily accessible now. You let the calm flow over you, and you looked to Arthur.

He was looking back at you, and you nodded as a slight breeze began to blow. For a few seconds the two of you stood just like that, and you began to become impatient.

But then Arthur closed his eyes, and suddenly liquid electricity was flowing from his hands to yours. You quickly went back to the calm place, and then the liquid electricity was coming from your own hands as well, mixing with his.

A silvery substance began to wrap itself around your entwined hands, constantly moving. The wind blew in circles around you, leaves flying helplessly from their branches. You could feel the electricity moving through your body, and all of your senses were heightened.

You listened to the animals running for shelter, to even the ants on the ground scurrying into their hill. The wind roared, your hair whipping about your face. You felt the power coursing between you and Arthur.

He opened his eyes, their normal green replaced with a vivid emerald. Your eyes connected, and you couldn’t look away. It was strangely intimate, like you had opened a door that led to his soul. Shivers racked your body, and the light entwining your hands pulsed.

The trees howled in the wind, creaking loudly. Leaves tumbled and twirled around you, and the wind screeched. The noise flooded your ears, and you wanted to turn and look, but you couldn’t tear your gaze from Arthur.

He stepped closer, the connection between magnifying, the wind gaining speed. His lips found yours in a soft kiss. You relaxed, and felt a huge rush of power escape you, an enormous boom echoing through the forest. Eerie silence fell over the forest, and you and Arthur broke apart, looking around.

Most of the trees around you had been stripped of their leaves, and some bore patches where their bark had blown away. The grass underfoot was laying completely flat in a large circle around you, and some of the trees where leaning.

You couldn’t believe what the two of you had done. It scared you, how much power you had felt between you, and you started to tremble. Arthur reached a hand towards you, but instead of accepting it, you turned and ran.
